No winamp plugins are showing. I tried downloading and installing the Monkey plugin (vis_monkey.dll) and that doesn't show up either. Is this specific to a version of MediaPortal? I am using version 0.2.2.0. It is the current stable release available in the downloads section.

To use the winamp viz within MP you need to have a svn-release....
The stable version 0.2.2.0 does NOT support this feature yet.

I'm using the svn from 20.04.2007 and tve3 (tvserver). With this configuration it's works quite stable with the winamp viz. I'm impressed!!
For me the svn-release of MP is stable enough for daily use.

Cheers

LOL, you should have told us that earlier.
Have a look, at which date i've created the thread and when 0.2.2.0 was published. :)

    DOH!!!
I did! In my first post, I had stated that I had the the public stable release...No biggie! I knew it had to be something simple! I will try with one of the svn's OR just wait for another stable release that supports it!

Thank you so much for your help!

    hwahrmann,

when using the winamp viz e.g. milkdrop configured in MP configuration.exe it works fine until I start radio playback (internet stream). The radio playback will change to G-Force plugin (not the winamp version) and when I switch back to my music there is no viz any more... Checking the setting in MP configuration.exe will show "none" for selected viz.

Are you able to reproduce this behaviour?

    Thanks and cheers

How can I use the milkdrop for My Radio as well?
I managed to get milkdrop working for My Musics but My Radio still uses the default visualisation.

I read what BassFan wrote on page 3 of this thread, but I can't understand much of it :)

    Thanks.

Sorry, currently no way to have Vis for Radio as well.
Needs a complete restructuring of Vis support, which is not so easy to be done without breaking the vis support at all.
It's on my notes however to be done in the near future.
