in short: you fixed the config dialog but milkdrop still doesnt respond to the music?

I just tried Milkdrop 2.24 from Winamp 5.623 and Milkdrop 2.25 from Winamp 5.63. Both with 5.1 upmix activated but still no music-sensitive Milkdrop.
Is there any Version of Milkdrop which works?

I also use winamp Milkdrop2 from winamp 5.63.

Everything works except milkdrop2 doesn't respond to the music. In the mediaportal settings I tried bass player and I tried WASAPI mode, both without result. I don't use upmixing.

Would be really cool if it worked. Does it work for you @hwahrmann ?

Du kannst die aktualisierte Version testen mit dem Sample archiv das ich hochgeladen habe.
Wenn der Beat hier funktioniert dann liegt ein problem innerhalb MP1.4 vor

extract it..
after extract run Example.exe
add a file *.mp3
click play and on the Milk2 plugin
is playing then your should see if respond to the music or not.

this do nothing with MP1.4 only for testing Bassvis
respond to the music or not.

if respond then copie bassvis.dll to the exe path of Mediaportal.
after that MP not respond to the music then should fix in MP1.4

first problem: the example tool needs a working recording device. ok, plugged a cord into line in.
second problem: MSVCR110.dll missing. visual c++ redist 2012 installed.
third problem: I dont get how to load a mp3

i tried your dlls in MP: still flat like a girl.

I just tried without upmix, still flat. upmixing was the trick for a long time. but I must admitt I dont use milkdrop that much that I could say, since which version of MP or Milkdrop it is broken.

Unfortunately I can not debug it with VS 2012
because MediaPortal does not open, just in the taskbar

Agree with BassFan - seems works 100% [exhaustive testing on nearly 2 mins] - I simply put a link into Mediaportal plugins directory :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins>mklink /d "Milkdrop2" "C:\Program Files (x86)\winamp\plugins\M
ilkdrop2"

and copied over the vis_milk2.dll.

No upmixing, no ASIO, MePo 1.4 final, default LAV filters - Milkdrop version 2.25.

What it does not seem to do it beat with music [removed all bar 1 presets - Unchained Beat Demo 2.5] and testing with Winamp vs MePo with Bach's Toccata in D as ref music, it rock's in Winamp but is pedestrian in MePo - still stunning in both

Another user here that can't get Milkdrop to beat to the music in MP (works in Winamp).
No upmixing, WASAPI exclusive, MePo 1.4 final, latest Milkdrop version 2.25
Also tried with upmix, without wasapi and their various computations. And tried BassFan's alternate file.
It was working in MP1.3.
