Techies may understand what "shares" means, but non-techies don't. "Shares" should be renamed "folders" everywhere within MP2 (all of the panels, plus all of the help in the Wiki). This applies to MP1 too.

But master Simian as already there are folders to point at in tv config & MP2 settings. Why add shares but call them folders as well? So asks this non techie chappie. Obviously i have lots to yet learn.

Hello team,
So it did wake up! The hard disks are set by default to turn off in 20 minutes. The computer had been in hibernate for about an hour, but it did wake up. Why did it if as earler suggested i should be using a ram drive?

Sorry, just noticed my machine has gone to hibrid S3, after the recording it has done a bit of which i would like it to do. Meaning it did go back to sleep! But later it was back on. There were no scheduled recordings

Just run powercfg/requests comand with admin, i couldn't find a report to zip & send you so i copied the below from the cmd screen, does that help?

Now thinking of doing a clean install of windows 10 on my my c drive. It is a partitioned c drive so I should not lose all my files.

You can do a clean install. But Windows 10 allows you to do a repair install that retains all your files. You could also consider to run the Fall Creators Update.

The Fall Creators Update? Sounds like an apocalyptic movie. I will google it now. Have been looking at my W10 event viewer. Lots of errors under admin events.

Success........ i think.

I disabled uninstalled as many of my usb hub drivers i could. Then oops no keyboard or mouse. So i held the button down & off it went. Waited a good 5 minutes et voila . Mouse is now working & in 1 minute it went to sleep. Mp2 is reduced to start bar. I will have a further play around & see what happens. Under my cfg energy report as i think you saw there was a kernel logical driver preventing standby. I googled that error. It is a known w10 issue. Uninstalling the drivers means that on restart you reinstall those drivers with windows generic drivers. So will need to check my tv Hauppauge duel usb stick is still working

If all fails you can also try to override the driver request using the command powercfg -requestsoverride and defining the driver in question.
