Yes alright, alright HTPCSourcer! Gloating is not becoming!

You now need to see me as Joyce Grenfill, sniffing with umbrage.

Yes i will take a further look at shares.

Wake up has worked:) but not gone to sleep:unsure: I do have MP2 running (standby only prevented when MP2 is not running) but minimized. The programme finished at 15.00 hrs. Now 15.37 hrs. Set for 15 minute standby. Do i use task manager to see what is still pteventing standby?

    Ta again chaps(y)

    No, there are better ways.

First set the standby time to one minute. Then open an administrative command window and enter powercfg /energy

This command will run an observation on your system while it is going to go to standby, and at the end will produce a log file, showing the problems that might have occurred. The log file will be saved in "c:\windows\system32\" as "energy.html".

The either zip and upload the complete file or post the relevant parts here.

    Just the client application.

Could be some network issues since all your feeds prompt this kind of error message
    [2017-10-20 14:07:04,664] [3003410] [Thread22 ] [WARN ] - Error reading News Feed Data from 'http://www.team-mediaportal.com/rss-feeds'
System.Net.WebException: The remote name could not be resolved: 'www.team-mediaportal.com'

    The crash then happens here:
    [2017-10-20 14:07:15,450] [3014196] [10 ] [ERROR] - ApplicationLauncher: Unhandled exception in application
MediaPortal.UI.Presentation.Workflow.WorkflowManagerLockException: The workflow manager cannot be locked for write operation 'GetModel' (deadlock?)

I enclose energy report. But also I had True Key stopping me getting back on to my desk top. I had been doing other things but I do not think it re booted. I am talking about before doing this energy report thing. I think True key is an AMD product. No it's not it's Intel Security key. I am not aware of having set it up.

Under MP1 I had set in Windows this machine to boot restart etc without PW.

"Shares" in MP2 refer to the locations where you store your media items, i.e. movies and series, music files, etc.
Techies may understand what "shares" means, but non-techies don't. "Shares" should be renamed "folders" everywhere within MP2 (all of the panels, plus all of the help in the Wiki). This applies to MP1 too.

There is a quite generic error message
    System Availability Requests:confused:ystem Required Request
A kernel component has made a request to prevent the system from automatically entering sleep.

The USB controls may not be correctly set up in the device manager, however, this won't affect the PC going tp sleep. Check out all USB entries and their respective energy tabs and ensure that you allow energy saving for them:
USB Suspend:USB Device not Entering Selective Suspend
This device did not enter the USB Selective Suspend state. Processor power management may be prevented when this USB device is not in the Selective Suspend state. Note that this issue will not prevent the system from sleeping.

Please rerun powercfg with powercfg -requests and post the results.

    Un installed true key.

But i suspect my issue maybe that on my laptop i sign on with my microsoft login. I have not needed to do that with my htpc. So the PW is different. Also chrome was not closing properly & i had to re enter my google account.

Now seems that all my PS settings have gone. Decided to set test recording for 18.30 hrs. Now 17.26 hrs. Put it to hibernate. As i understand it it should not wake up. So i will be puzzled if it does. Off to the shops. Wine beer food are required!

You master HTPCSourcer i bow to. I am but a young Paderwan!

I don't disagree. The downside of renaming the English strings is that ALL translations for them will disappear and will need to be recreated. This is major work.

Also "shares" is making sense when media items are accessed through network shares on remote locations. Talking of foldersi such case would also be misleading.
