For some strange reason, now it sems you have to do the other way arount..

"under MP Config/Remote. DONT! click the [X] use microsoft remote bla bal
just install the ir suite and test the remote, i funt the only thing i had to change was a back bottonthat was mapped bad.."

if it dos not work whit the X and remove the X
then it will work..
You dont need the replasment driver stuff..!

Will give it a go

I'm going to try the MCE Remote Replacement Driver & Plugin tonight and will let you know how it goes.

Don't do this! Only install the IR Server Suite (don't configure it, only install and reboot) and all is working fine!

[Edit] Forgotten: Untick the MCE Remote in MP Konfig -> Remote!

I got the same problem Win 7 RC1, how did you fix it again "being a bit thick today"

{Fresh install of Win7 RC1 , MP and SAF codec pack all working great, seems a bit quicker than Vista}

Only install the IR Server Suite (don't configure it, only install and reboot) and untick MCE-Remote in MP-Configuration -> Remote!

Is it IR suite Version 1.0.4.1 ?



Happy days all working.

Install IR server Suite 1.0.4.1 but I had to select MCE remote in MP Config. { I unselected it before installing the 'IR suit' and had to reselect it after !! }

Some of the plugins in 1.0.4.1 will only work up to MediaPortal 1.0.0.
So use latest 1.0.4.2 if you use latest MediaPortal.

I have an issue with Windows 7 when starting Media Portal Configuration. When the program starts it will be
stucked by the message "Adding filters".

Sombody aware of this issue and can help me to get rid of it ?

For me, on Vista, it sometimes takes a very long time at the "adding filters" message. Maybe you just have to be patient, it could take up to several minutes.

Yeah, I have already done this. Waited for approx. 15 min, but nothing happens.
I cannot figure out what´s going on there. It seems for me that some codecs causing that issue.

i dont know what filters are??
Tak out all your plugings from plugins folder, and start MP.. if starts, add 1 plugin at a time, see which one is making it do this

Im running win 7, no problems

I haven´t add any special plugins, because it´s a clean MediaPortal installation and even Windows 7 is
a new installation without any special software on it.

Info button not working

Hi all,

I am currently running Windows 7 RC + MP 1.0.2 (upgrade from a fresh install of 1.0.1).

I have installed IR Server Suite 1.4.2 to try to get my MCE Remote (Philips RC6 I think it is called, branded DELL) working and had some success but the Info button + 4 'shortcut' buttons (TV Guide, Recorded TV, DVD and one more) just above the number buttons are not working. (as well as the green button)

When I run IR Server debug I dont see any button presses from the remote at all, is this normal?

Anyone here with the same problem? Any solutions?

Or help to how I can try to debug were the problems lies. Is there a way to get MP to log the remote button presses to see if they are passed through to MP?
