Release Candidate of WorldWeather plugin v0.4.0 for MediaPortal v1.2.0 or higher

Dear community,
ltfearme and catavolt has reported some complications regarding the coverflow and filmstrip controls. I'm not completely aware about this. So I'll start a analysis of this today and tried to reproduce the problem with different skins and configuration settings.
As a result of this analysis please find in the first post of this thread a new release candidate, which brings the following changes and fixes:

• Bug fixing for automatic refresh property handling, if WorldWeather isn't in foreground.
• The facade control must be re-introduced again, I didn't found another way to fix the reported filmstrip and coverflow image problems. For me it seems, that a coverflow control without a appropriate facade object doesn't work correctly. See the included Default and defaultWide skin for more information.
• Add new properties to get information about the selected filmstrip/coverflow image (ImageSelectedThumb, ImageSelectedLabel).
• The button "View" is only visible, if your preferred skin support different view types.

Sorry for any additional skinning related overhead.

A new bug has popped up with the re-introduction of the facade control.

1. Click on Show Images
2. Switch to Flat View (needs to be on flat view to reproduce)
3. Cycle through the Show button until you get to Images again.

Result: Flat view and Filmstrip are shown at the same time even though the skin conditions are correct to hide the facade. In fact the filmstrip will remain now regardless of the current info shown.

Hi Micropolis,
automatic refresh of satellite images is no more working; manual refresh does work. No big deal, but maybe you can check in a later version...

My settings: Refresh every 30 minutes, Force Image Updates

Hi folks,
here the new official xmls files for Default, Default Wide and PureVisionHD skins (no Media files included!).
Changes: Set IDs of filmstrip and coverflow to 50, enhanced navigation: returning from a facade via up/left leads to "Change View" button, left/right on "Change View" button goes to respective facade.
Alex, pls use this xmls for Default/Wide in your next release

Hi Micropolis,
that was fast, thanks, and it seems to work!

I write "it seems", as this time the satellite image (http://www.zdf.de/ZDFde/wetter/showpicture/0,2236,197,00.gif) was not loaded (or at least is not shown); all others were updated. The not showing satellite image, however, happened before already from time to time; i think the problem is my slow internet connection (384 kBit/s).

So for me it looks solved!

However, in the configuration log I found a lot of Warnings; obviously this does not affect the function, I just want to let you know:

if I take a look into my configuration log file, I can see these warnings for ALL installed plugins (including the MediaPortal core plugins). I don't know why and do not ignore this, but I haven't a final explanation for this.

PS: I'm using Yahoo as weather provider + Google for forecast. Latest RC..
