There might be a reason for running a server and not using it as a domain controller but I can't think of any.

Active Directory has big resource usage. In fact Microsoft suggests you never run anything else on a domain controller - just Active Directory.

That is true in an enterprise environment ~100.000 users or so.

out of curiosity, please test attached util.

Just by curiosity, what OS version are you trying to detect, that you want to prevent the installation on?

Sorry, don't have access to any of those versions at the moment.

You can download several VHD images prepared with several different OS for testing purposes from Microsoft Download

The Roadmap for MP 1.1.0 RC2 has been at 100% for quite some time now.

But I don't see this issue in the list. Won't this be fixed in the RC2 version?
