I can't remeber exactly, but if you go into options there should be a setting for the remote control. I think by default it is set to MCE remote, change it to X360 remote and that should sort the problem.

I disabled the remote in xbox360 setup.. easy way to solve it =)

Only catch is that you have to use your 360controller to navigate dvd's on the 360.

The best bet is to get a 360 Media Remote, And disable Windows Media Remote support on the 360's Setup blade. I run into the same problem, and it anoyed me for ages!

I have a slightly similar issue.

I got the 360 HD-DVD for xmas (if only I had waited a couple of weeks I might have held off based on the recent blu-ray news) and with it got the Universal Media remote.

I use the MCE remote for mediaportal, however when I use the 360 universal remote with the hd-dvd player it also sends commands to my pc/mediaportal. So everyone time I want to use the 360 remote I have to firstly close mediaportal.
So how do I disable the 360 universal remote in mediaportal whilst keeping the MCE remote active and working.

Many thanks.

When my AVR bit the dust recently I took the opportunity to upgrade my projector to an LS11000 to gain 4K. Install went fine until I switched to my HTPC which is my primary source. When I switch to the HTPC the screen goes blank for a long time and then I have sound, no picture, and in the lower left hand corner: "Source: HDMI 1 Not...
