    Harley,

add this to your package. Its the tuningdetails.xml file. It looks good as is, but you may want to check it over.
It seems just placing it in the folder is enough, and the context menu while watching TV, shows the new entry for tuning details.

For anyone have trouble seeing the new tv guide I created an 8 row version that is easier on my eyes anyways. Plus the channel icons are much more visible now.

I couldn't figure out how to center the text for the shows within each row(its slightly to the top) but it looks good as is. I use a 1280x720 res if that makes much of a difference on layout.

A good example - after the SECOND release candidate, the entire music database is re-designed. WHAT!?

While this is probably a little off-topic for this thread, I couldn't agree with the above more!

I regularly run SVN releases, but the last month they have been terribly unstable. I've gone back to my tried and true build from 25th August.

If features are being added after RC builds have been released, there needs to be a branch added to the SVN and all new features should be added to the dev trunk and the RC branched and only added to for bug fixes.

Thanks for that! I couldn't understand why there were so many rows unless of course most people watch tv on their pc monitor close up. On my 32" tv the guide was too small to read easily!

    Different environments look different.
I'm using a 50" Plasma at 1080p and it looks great as it is.

Personally, when xface gets ported to MPI, a choice should be available on install how many rows for TV guide, as i found the original, brilliant to see from a distance of 3 metre's on a 32" lcd.

keep up the good work Harley.

    You are great! :D
This looks much nicer on a 32" screen with 1360x768 resolution. Also, the colours are better (white letters for the currently active shows and not blue).

I fully support the suggestion to make the rows adjustable by the user. However, as long as this is not implemented I suggest to use the 8 rows for all. In my opinion, everybody could live with that because with 32" its fine and with bigger screens it might be too big. However, too big is better than too small for 32" screens.

    It's a matter of taste.
Personally I prefer the look of the original relase.
However it doen't matter as it's open source and if anyone has a different taste simply adjust it as you like.

I use a 42", and I find from about 10 feet viewing distance it looks good. But as mentioned on a 50" or larger, 8 rows might look too big.

Yeah that is much easier to see with your channel icon package it looks really good. Thanks.
