okay guys. i really want to get your attention to this stuttering thing. i´ve tested nearly every svn of the last 2 or three weeks regarding this issue. i thought it is a bug that appears only on my system, but now i see there are more people who have this problem.
Sounds like the Enhanced Vista setting in the filters config. When I disabled that it smoothed out the stuttering problem you are talking about.
Hope it helps.

Attached is the screen capture showing the problem in basic home screen...

regards,
That is a resolution problem.
I got the same thing, because my screen is slightly underscanned.

I made a fix however, wich also includes the menubar to be on the bottom of the screen.
Let me know, and I'll upload it later.

EDIT, added the stuff - note that this is made for my underscan, and might not work at all for you.
(Yes, I changed the background - experimenting) :p

Can u post what are the changes that you have made into the file? I'm using a custom basic home screen, and i dont' want to replace the whole file....

regards,

Do a search in my file for this:
Code:
<control>
			<description>Subbackground</description>
			<type>image</type>
			<id>500</id>
			<posX>281</posX>
			<posY>705</posY>

This control and everything below it, contains the buttonbar, and the preview window/clock/date etc...
Unless you made some changes in your .xml below this, you can replace my code with yours in that section.

I got rid of it by changing my desktop resolution from 1368x768 too 1366x768. Did it with some custom resolution app.

Not everyone can just change the res... :(

I have to underscan my Plasma because Panasonic and Nvidia is not talking the same language...>_<
So if I run 1280x720, the windows desktop is 1cm outside the visible screen...
I am stuck forever with a "720p" that is actually 699P because Panasonic couldnt create a way to adjust this with the TV ...

    Hello,
    Tested v509.
Since v472, overlap in my news is fixed, great. :)
In recordedTV, overlap when listview display is fixed too.
Therefore, it could be great, if possible, to highligt first item of list instead of cursor in menu view icon/list.
This would hide automatically left menu without clicking on right arrow.

In weather, when preview window is visible, city name is hidden.
This is annoying when we want to see weather in many area, we don't know what is the city displayed.
Is it possible to put city name elsewhere ?

Weather without preview window : Weather with preview window :

    Regards.

It sounds interesting, can u explain how to use that custom resolution? I'm using 1360x768 right now...

The app is developed by the guys who make power strip.

    http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/index.shtm

You have to use it in combination with power strip. These apps are by no means easy to use tho, i got it working after fiddling around a bit. The reason i did it was to get 1-1 pixelmaping, fixing xface was just a bonus.

Thanks Darre, but i found another solution using only the nVidia control panel that allows you to create custom resolutions. I've added 1366x768 and 'voilà' xface now looks nice... That way i don't need to install another applications like powerstrip....

    Hi Harley,

Looks great your skin, nice work! (I would prefer a little more light, but well). I also found one missing action button. The myPictures module now (since R2 I think) also has a Switch View button. This will allow switching to a by Date View and a Share View. You missed that button.

I also had some random context menu popups when using the mouse. But I will have to test further to be sure how this can be reproduced.
