So, the questions that I would ask are:
    • Did you "scan for channels" in "TV Server Config" before trying to import "TvGuide.xml"?
    • Did you click "Load/Refresh" and then "Save" to save the channel list?

After connecting to the aerial and setting up DVB-T from the local transmitter I did the scan and got the 134 channels
At first I just did a sample "Favourites" type channel search on EPG Collector and let it place the TVGuide.xml in the xmltv folder. I got 17 channels and MP imported the channel names but no programme data. All "Favourites" channels mapped perfectly and appeared in the guide
After your reply I did a full channels grab with EPG Collector and it provided the TVGuide.xml with 134 channels. Again MP imported all 134 channel names but not the programme data. The Mapping worked OK.

    Attached some pics

The 'Force Import' picture shows the 134 channels imported OK but 0 programs.
I tried the DefaultWideHD & Titan Skins as well as PureVisionHD just case it was a "Skin thing".
The skin pictures are after the full 134 channel import.

I wonder if you can see a clue from this?
    Regards

Again MP imported all 134 channel names but not the programme data.
Looking at your screen shots, there are a couple of things to investigate further:

    (1) I notice that you have enabled Apply time compensation when loading TvGuide.xml on the "General" tab in "XmlTv". I had that setting disabled when I successfully loaded your "TvGuide.xml" into my MP 1.37 system. So I think that it is worth repeating the import with that setting disabled to see if that makes a difference.

    (2) On the "Mappings" tab, the "Id" column in your screen shot has much larger values (in the 600s) than the columns in my screen shot (less than 100). I don't actually know what these id values denote, but if they are some internal id that TV Server uses, it suggests that you have over 600 channels in your channel list.

When scanning for channels, do you normally select the Enable channel movement detection setting? My experience has been that if you don't enable that setting, you can end up with duplicate channels each time you scan. I am not sure how this works within TV Server, but if you don't enable that setting, I think that you have to delete all of your existing TV channels and radio channels, so that you start the scan with an empty channel database.

    So actions to do:
    • Try the import with the time compensation setting disabled.
    • If the import still fails, go to "TV Channels" and delete all channels, and do the same in "Radio Channels". Then rescan for channels, remap the channels (in XmlTv "Mappings"), and retry the import.

The 'Apply time compensation when loading tvguide.xml' is a switch I have tried many times and the picture you have was one where I had the compensation switched to "on".
It made no difference when I was trying different settings options on a "hit & miss" basis
The 'Id' is the channel number given by the broadcaster according to the Wiki that @Jasmeet_181 kindly provided. (Attached pic)
When I scan I usually switch "Enable channel movement detection" ON, but I have cleared all the channels, re-scanned with the switch set and downloaded all channels TVGuide.xml from EPG Collector
It gave me the same result with 134 channels imported and no programme data
    Mappings all OK

Well between us we have covered most avenues so I am confident it is not a silly mistake or setting that has been overlooked
It is so strange that this occurred after years of reliable work
While awaiting your reply I was referring to the xmltv format Wiki https://wiki.xmltv.org/index.php/XMLTVFormat and I cannot see anything in the TVGuide.xml from EPG Collector that would make MP load the channel names and then stop processing the programme data
It cannot be a bug because it was working fine on MP 1.26 when it failed, and I have done a complete identical re-install from those days thanks to a Belarc Advisor scan that I usually run and keep a record of to remind me if I end up with this very scenario!

Mum will have to go to a "Smart TV", (I will make sure she has support from the local TV shop!)

Thank you very much for your excellent help, it's very much appreciated
    Regards
    Greg

Don't forget that it should still be possible to use MP's built-in support for receiving the satellite broadcast EPG (or the terrestrial broadcast EPG), albeit possibly with not all of the channels that you previously had in the EPG. Possibly this could be an acceptable compromise?

I did try and get the FreeSat guide using the grabber during all this but ran into the problems I had years back before going to EPG Collector. I don't think the FreeSat data channel exists anymore.
At the moment I am back re-installing Win7 OS and MP 1.26 to try and replicate the working system before this all went South!
    Cheers

Just throwing this out there. Could it be that the epg file is UTF-8 vs. UTF-8 BOM? I seem to remember having an issue with that many years ago but I don't specifically remember the details.

I'm not sure what the difference is or where I would configure EPG Collector to get UTF-8 BOM to try it? Way past my expertise level I am afraid!
In the previous usage I never had to alter settings to get the system to work with EPG Collector to xlmtv

    Thanks for your assistance

You can try the attached file. I converted your file above using Notepad ++.
