SORRY but jut realized that this is way over my head!

After digging into the code I realized that the main code needed to be deleted is written in C++ (MPFileWriter.cpp). And C++ I totally don’t understand.

I can save a bit of time to the one that will take this job, you should start by looking into:
    a) DirectShowFilters\MPWriter
    b) TVEngine3\TVLibrary\TVLibrary\Implementations\Analog\Graphs\Analog\AnalogSubChannel.cs

I will try to look for a new task that I can handle…

There is even a little bit more to do. TsWriter and the subchannel classes for DVB also have some code for MPG recording.

I gave it another chance but when I compile the source code I get to many errors.
If there where no errors i could probably handle this..

Sorry it is not in progress any more. :(

The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release. It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases. -- from CyberSimian in the UK

Thank you for pointing out that my analysis may be less than accurate. :p Although the change to TV channel 71 may not also have been applied to the independent radio channels (different MUXes), the logs that I prepared for one of the development team does show a difference between channel 704 ("BBC Radio 4") and channel 731...

The reason I was thinking I needed more RAM is that TV now seems to be HiDef and so the files have grown. I edit the files before storing them, to reduce some size. It is finding that slower, I think. Or it could just be because I'm expecting more? The Baseboard manufacturer says ASUSTech Computer Inc; Baseboard product P7P55D-E...
