EDIT: I should have stated that the 1.32 X64 was the pre-release version. I will update to the final release. I'm hoping to get everything up and running this weekend, and if the work-around, for now, is to backup the settings from the existing 32 bit version, then import them into the 64-bit version, that should be acceptable.
Ah ha, that could explain a lot, the pre release was not that straight forward, myself and others also had problems getting it installed and working!
It would be very useful to know if the Final version has resolved everything, would you be able to try upgrading i.e. just run the 1.32 Final x64 install, a working version of the 32 bit 1.31 and let us know how it goes? I am hoping that will work without the need of a backup.

Firstly, my goal is to get MePo working on my new PC.

My first experience with the X64 version was a few months back. I upgraded a 32-bit version, either 1.30 or 1.31 to the X64 pre-release on the PC that I am replacing. IIRC, BR playback did not work. Given that I use it quite often, I decided to revert back to 32-bit, and my attempt to revert back, even following the recommended process at the time, was also a failure though the failure reverting back may have been my fault. I did not report this mainly due to lack of time.

I ended up restoring an image backup from last December. The short answer is that I am not willing to take that risk on my old hardware because I need something that works. Heaven forbid, my wife and I have become addicted to a Media PC:rolleyes::LOL:. I upgraded that PC last night to 1.32. The upgrade to 1.32 seemed to take an unusually long time, and downloading an updated list of plug-ins once 1.32 was installed also took what seemed like an unusually long time which concerns me and makes me worry that the upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit may not leave me with a working installation.

I am willing to "clean" install 1.31 32-bit on this new PC since I have not substituted it for the working PC yet, get 1.31 basically working, i.e., DVD/BR playback, HDHomeRun tuner scanning, then "upgrade" to 1.32 X64 final to see if things still work. IF it works, I intend to use "Backup Settings" to export my working installation's (on the old PC) settings, plugins, etc., and then import those into MP on the new PC. Unfortunately, my time is very limited these days. I will attempt this tomorrow (Saturday) and hopefully, I will be able to achieve my goal of having the new PC ready to go by the end of the day. I'll let you know how it goes, and if there are failures, I'll collect logs.

I suppose it goes without saying that at some point, assuming this is an issue that persists with fresh 64-bit installs, someone will have to look at what is going on. Except for the HDHomeRun tuner scanning, the 1.32 64-bit pre-release seems to work properly (at least what I use anyway).

Just some thoughts and suggested options:-
Am I correct in believing you have not tried a clean/fresh install of 1.32 Final x 64 on your new PC? If you haven't then I would suggest trying that first before going through a 1.31 install and then an upgrade, unless you already have a working 1.31 installed on the new PC in which case do try to upgrade with 1.32 Final x64. If 1.31 on the new PC is not working i.e. following an unsuccessful upgrade attempt with 1.32 x64 pre release I would suggest doing a complete uninstall then delete all leftover Team Media Portal folders in Program Files, Program Files(x86) and Program Data, also uninstall MySQL and delete its left over Folders in Program Files and Program Data. Then an install of 1.32 Final x64 will really be a fresh/clean one.

    Thanks for all the replies.
Attached, are the log files with fresh attempts to scan on all four of my tuners (not that scanning on the four tuners was absolutely necessary), finally.

What did you use to port the settings? Was it Huha's "Backup Settings" plugin? I was wondering if that would work. I've got several schedules and other configured stuff on the old system that would it would be nice to not have to port them all over manually.

    Thanks again!
I manually ported settings over. Sorry. I did a 1.32 x32 update from 1.31 (both MP and TV Server). I think I had to port all the settings from a back-up of the 1.31 x32. I'm not sure, but I then updated x32 to x64 pre-release, and may have also used backed up settings again. I manually installed the required x64 plugins. I don't think I used the x64 install of the x32 TV Server. It's a bit fuzzy, but I finally got to a working x64 pre-release.

After brief check, I see that TVServer installator in x64 version is screwed. Some native libs(filters) are x64 but the server itself is still x86.
    Maybe this is the problem.

Yes, you are correct. I had not tried a clean/fresh install of 1.32 x64 final. Unfortunately, I did not see your instructions here to try a 1.32 x64 clean/fresh install before I tried installing 1.31 32bit. So I installed 1.31 32-bit, and did a channel scan, then a channel mapping. 1.31 32bit seems to work fine. I then tried to upgrade to 1.32 x64, and the install did not give me the option of doing an upgrade - it was greyed out. See the attached screenshot.

After some inbetween stuff that I cannot enumerate, I uninstalled 1.31 32bit, uninstalled the remnants of 1.32 X64, uninstalled MySQL, LAV Filters, and deleted all the folders you listed. I then tried to clean/fresh install 1.32 X64, and got the exact same screen as below. I chose clean/fresh install, and proceeded to reinstall. When the install came to MySQL, I then got an error message from the install that said that it could not start MySQL. I tried to manually start MySQL and that also caused an exception. I then said OK to the installer's MySQL start exception and got a message that the installer failed to install MySQL, and then the "Thank you for installing MediaPortal" screen.

At this point, my frustration has reached its limit. Due to time constraints, I will simply install 1.32 32 bit cross my fingers, and go from there with the attempt to bring up this new PC.

Apologies, however, I just don't have the time to make any further efforts to get X64 working properly. 1.32 X64 pre-release mostly seemed to work and maybe there's something in the registry that is not being cleaned up - thus the "reinstall" dialog that keeps coming up.

After doing an image backup of this PC, I will make an attempt to move to X64 again in the future.

No apologies necessary and I am sorry that my suggestions were not helpfull but they were made with the assumption that all was well with the 1.32 Final, sadly that seems not to be the case.:((n):(
I have spent most of this morning attempting a fresh install of MP 1.32 final on my desktop PC which has not had MP 1 installed on it for a long time and I can confirm pretty much everything you have reported, I have not even been able to get the x86 version running! I seems Haloween is the right name for it but all tricks and no treets!
I will try and put together all my findings in a bug report but as a first off if any devs are looking at this the x64 version installs MySQL in Program Files (x86) instead of in Program Files (where the x86 version installs it) which is why it won't start, however even when it is installed and running correctly the channel scan still does not work, nothing to do with the Home Run tuner it is the same on my TBS dual.
I would also like to point out that I do have MP 1.32 Final x64 up and running on my HTPC but that was from a basis of 1.31 with an upgrade, not without difficulties, to 1.32pre x64 and then an upgrade to 1.32 Final x64 with some problems with the Multishortcut plugin but that may have been my anti-virus throwing a wobly.

Multishortcut is working fine in X64 ;)
I never said it wasn't, it is now working fine for me but there was an issue with the upgrade and I needed to run the DLLFix program but found my anti-virus had put it in quaranteen.
