That information is not used for anything else than logging (and yes, it doesn't detect the stream content correctly in the most of the cases, but as it is currently only for logging it is not on high priority to be fixed).

Upgraded to HD4670 - Now using MP 1.1 Alpha, no problems
My verdict - HD3200 (with low HT 1000Mhz ie dual core cpu) is too underpowered for 1080i in XP on anything after MP 1.0 Final
HD3450 is slightly different because it doesn't use shared memory.
However upgrade may fix your problem.
You can try overclock the HD3450 see if that changes it
If performance improves with overclock then you know the video card is the problem
