Is there any way to run TV-server as anything but admin? I have opened the folder for access, and in the shortcut the box "run as admin" is not checked.

One of my computers with MP doesn’t show EPG unless I manually start TV-server. Another computer doesn’t. Strange.

TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.
