i also have a probem with the clients. i have set up more than one client i can't change between them?
but i think it's because it is an alpha version.

I had the problem, too. But you can resolve that, when you stop the App manualy in the Settings menu from Android. After a new start you can select between the two clients.

Hi - am not sure what I am doing wrong but have installed the latest wifi remote and*mp*extended and I am not getting a connection on my galaxy tab for either remote or the rest of the service.My*mp*setup is using win7 firewall and I have opened ports but I get a remote connection could not be established error.Any idea what I have missed?

Yep - set once same one in both wifi remote and mp extended and set this in ampdroid

Ok a little more success now... Deleted my connection and setup with scan. now the remote works but not tv series, movies, tv etc. i see in settings that i need to setup an ip, mac and user id and password for each element now. where would these be set so i can get that all working?

There's a problem with italian language.
Interface is set to polish or czech.
I checked /data/data/app folder and in ampdroid settings language is set to it_it, so maybe it has been swapped in the code.
How can I set it to (at least) english, because is very difficult to setup in that foreign language?

Hmm - seems windows 7 firewall didnt open up the port for mp extended, i have done this and now it works - well i can view my list of movies, series etc but if i tell ampdroid to play a movie onthe pc i get a force close error, and if i go into tv i can see the channels and epg but also get the force close dialog without selecting anything after a second or two.

What logs do you need - ampdroid or mp extended or both to see what is happening Here?

Does the remote control work and are you connected? If yes and aMPdroid force-closes when you play something -> new post with logs from android and mediaportal.

Thanks, have upgraded to alpha 4 and that has stopped the crash on EPG selection- but the other issues remain, have started a new post with logs. Let me know if you need any more input.
