VPlayer seems to be the best for me on > 3.0 I don't know, try a few out your results may vary from device to device.

Live TV work fine with 0.8.3, timeshifting also, but not with 1.0 for the moment. (Only on some devices)

Which device are you using? 1.0 shouldn't be worse then 0.8.3.

On SGS with 1.0 work Live TV with RTSP fine, on Galaxy Tab work Live TV only with transcoding and external player. With 0.8.3 everything is ok, also RTSP streaming. But on my old single core AMD tv server is RTSP streaming the best choice for Live TV, transcoding is only with low quality profile possible, the rest gives me high cpu load and lot of lags.

What external player do you find works best? Am using a galaxy tab myself but not sure what player to go with

Try BSplayer, is better then the rest, is free and it play 720p mkv. If your device is rooted, you should use Adfree and you see no ads on the whole phone/tab. RTSP streaming is also supported. Only OSD looks better on Vplayer.

If you play a song on Mediaportal it shows the wrong Rating in the Ampdroid Info Screen. I play a song with 5 stars and in the Info screen I see two and a half star.

There's a problem with italian language.
Interface is set to polish or czech.
I checked /data/data/app folder and in ampdroid settings language is set to it_it, so maybe it has been swapped in the code.
How can I set it to (at least) english, because is very difficult to setup in that foreign language?

I can´t connect from outside of my LAN/Router although I have routed the ports to the correct internal IP and I have also disabled firewall on my Media Portal server, but are there other settings I should change to get it working? I am using DVB-IP and I have two netcards one for internet access and one for the DVB-IP/UDP signal.
