crackdown,
You were doing everything right, maybe it doesnt work because I have Irdeto2 and you have Conax? I never tried with Conax, only Irdeto2.

@All
Do not use my tool for MediaPortal anymore. The SPLUG.DLL solution from Exista is much cleaner solution. In other programs were SPLUG doesnt work (DVBViewer), Anycam is still the best option, but not for MP anymore.

This crashing is a major problem. I have not experienced it yet but that is only because I have not wathed TV for more than 10 minutes in a row. I will ask the guy whom I built the HTPC with the anysee tuner if he experiences crashes.
Because the anysee tuner is the best and only replacement for the floppydtv this issue has to be solved. Hopefully some coder will solve this crashing of the TV server. I can only help testing; i am a n00b with programming

I created a small tool to use the Anysee smartcard in MediaPortal: Download

Anycam lets you access the Anysee's internal smartcard reader. It does this by creating a virtual comm-port (COM5) which acts like a bridges between the cardreader and cardclients (like ACamd).

This makes it possible to view encrypted channels in DVBViewer, DVBLink TVSource, MediaPortal, etc. using the default BDA driver.

Compatible with XP/Vista/Windows (32/64 bits)

Requirements:

- Anysee Device + Drivers
- .NET Framework 2 (or higher)

Hello wil this work with DVBViewer anysee dvbc ziggo thanks.

THis is great, I've 2 Anysee E30C's collecting dust and will definitely try this solution (SPLUG.DLL) later tonight when the Conax card is off duty (i.e. the rest of the family done watching). Can do some longer testing as well, will see how long it lasts before crashing ;)

Tried and tested, descrambling worked perfectly for a few minutes but then everything went black, no signs of error, required restart to work. I'm on the newest SVN MP release (24.281), Win 7 Home Pre and otherwise same setup as in the Dutch blog post by eXisTa... some background service must have chrashed.

Hi Drazic,

I followed zepmans guide to install Acamd (without installing card sharing server newcs because i presume anycam acts as a card sharing server).

I determined my CAID (0634) and put it in the last line of cardclient.conf like this:

Code:
#
# Comment lines can start with # or ;
#
# every client line starts with the client name, followed by some arguments:
# 'hostname' is the name of the server
# 'port' is the port on the server
# 'emm' is a flag to allow EMM transfers to the server
# (0=disabled 1=enabled)
# 'caid' (optional) caid on which this client should work
# 'mask' (optional) mask for caid e.g. caid=1700 mask=FF00 would allow
# anything between 1700 & 17FF.
# Default is 1700 & FF00. If only caid is given mask is FFFF.
# You may give multiple caid/mask values comma separated
# (e.g. 1702,1722,0d0c/ff00).
# 'username' is the login username
# 'password' is the login password
#
# newcamd client
# 'cfgkey' is the config key (28bytes)
#
# newcamd client
# 'providerid(s)' add provider id's for filtering 0000006A,0000006D
#
# radegast client
# No EMM support
#
# gbox client
# UDP localhost only, default ports, No EMM support
#
# gboxn client
# servername, serverport, emm, [caid/mask], serverpassword, pcname, pcport, pcpassword, free text
#
# camd35 client
# UDP protocol
#
#radegast:192.168.7.54:10001:0/0000/0000
#gbox:0.0.0.0:0:0/0000/0000
#camd35:192.168.7.54:24110:1/0000/0000:username:password
#newcamd:192.168.7.54:34000:1/0000/0000:username:password:0102030405060708091011121314

#emubox03:192.168.7.54:10000:0/0000/0000
#gboxn:192.168.7.54:6600:0/0000/0000:AA34BB78:192.168.7.53:6601:AA34BB71:Server 1
newcamd:127.0.0.1:15050:1/0634/ffff:gebruiker1:wachtwoord1:0102030405060708090A0B0C0D0E

But obviously, there's nothing listening on port 15050 because i haven't set up the newcs card sharing client. So the acamd window shows multiple:
Code:
17:57:38.640: Login attemp (1)
17:57:38.640: connecting to 127.0.0.1:15050/tcp (127.0.0.1)
17:57:38.640: socket: connect failed: Winsock Error 10049: Cannot assign requested address.

Do i even need a cardclient.conf, and what should i put in the last line?

Thanks a lot for reading

I asked the author of ACamd about this problem and he said that you are missing camkey data in smartcard.conf.. I send you the right data in PM, because this forum is not about camkeys, but about mediaportal ;)

Do i need camkey data to use my E30TC on the CaiWay (CA 0634) cable network?

I can't get Anycam & Acamd to work in MP, i experience the same problems as Coennie.
