I know there is a default aspect ratio setting in the general TV setup. Could there be a place to set the default aspect ratio for each channel in the channel config?

Setting AR to "default" MP will use the correct AR for each station - be aware some are broadcasting their program in a wrong AR

I can make sure it is on "default" this evening. As I was trying, it was either that or "normal" that was best. However, there is still one station where the people's heads look a bit too elongated unless it is set to "stretch". It would be nice if I could set the AR for just that one channel.

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but I am running at 1680x1050 resolution, which is 16:10 not 16:9. Also, the channel in question is digital.

I thought "default" sounded a bit funny, just to make sure, this is the same as "Original Source Format" right?

I'll try the screen calibration too.

i have had the same problem that yours.

I Live in france and watch DVB-T Channels. The only one i watch which is sending a wide signal is NRJ12.

The first time i set up mp, all was fine exept this channel that was presented with a wrong ar. I took me some time to understand that its a codec problem.

I went to mp setup/TV/Codec, and put there the codecs bundled with my DVBT Board (the codecs are 'intervideo for hauppauge non css', or smthing like that). Once done, all channels were ok, even nrj12 !

    Good luck !

sorry, I only looked at the code - it is "Normal" not "Original Source Format".

nitro is right - you must run the screen calibration! Use a tape measure or ruler to adjust the square there.

I note that you are using MP2. The following applies to MP1, but I think that MP2 is identical in this situation. "TV Server Config" has a "TV Mapping" panel in the "TV Channels" section. On the "TV Mapping" tab: The left column lists the channels that have not yet been mapped to the TV tuner identified by the drop-down menu just...
