Hi dukus,
I try with your suggestions, but I have still problems.
I used CheckScanCode utility from HIP to take ASCII codes and the put the codes in your ASUS HID.xml, but nothings works!!!
I don't want stress you exaggeratedly and then I ask:
- where can I found instrctions to create or modify .xml files for remote?
At last, only a preliminary question: It's different to send commands to MP by a keyboard or by a remote ?(people says my remote works like a keyboard and Touch-Screen is not a really touch screen and it works also as a keyboard too, but I can't get work with it).
If YES, how can I configure MP to receive commands by my remote?
Thank you very much in advance for your attention.
Try this version. In the configuration set LOG level to debug. In the log file you may see the pressed key code, simply change with an editor the code.
Hi, dukus
first, thank you for your reply.
I tried your last version, but it don't works (with this .dll file, MP don't start).
But any way I don't understand because modifying your .xml files with the correct codes, it don't works....
May be because ascii codes of my remote were all ALT and/or CTRL keys?
The only way I found to work with original S-Presso remote is with an appropriate .ahk file (emulate keyborad keys) by autohetkey program.......
But in this way, I think isn't possible to use all my remote keys (e.g. MyMusic to jump in My Music menu etc.).
Finally, I tryed many search everywhere, but I don't found detailed instructions to create or modify original .xml files for other remotes..... (I don't want stress you too much..).
Thank you again and have an HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Bye
Maurizio

Hi Dukus...
I tested also your plugin 4 Asus remote and I´ll think it will work (with S-Presso)... It´s so close allready... I just need to know how to "set LOG level to debug" like U mentioned in a last post? Then we just need to do like U sayed, configure the buttons.
Are you trying to use a remote control or a keyboard?
You can customise your input devices using the "Remotes and Other Input Devices" section in "MP Config". Using the "HID" tab, you can:
Customise your remote control, and/or
Customise your keyboard.
Select one or both devices, and then pick the config that you are going to use...

Ran into this problem following an otherwise sucessful upgrade from MP 1.34 x64 to MP 1.35 x64 the CEC Remote plugin which I use just to control volume and standby, will no longer put my devices (TV & AVR) to sleep when the HTPC is put in standby. Also when I wake up the HTPC MP closes or crashes (not sure which) as per the example in...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal.
Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
