I have a weird problem (like always).
WMVHD's with DXVA enabled are totally green with artifacts. Also, I have tearing in 720P content, so enabled the Direct3D fullscreen feature. Seems like DXVA doesn't work with that? If I disable the feature I could play some 1920x1080 sony bravia MPG demo's with 2% CPU, now its like 60-100%. They play without lag though.

Is there any other way to get rid of the mysterious tearing which only occurs in 720P MKV's of all the TV-series? Or can I enable DXVA in direct3d mode somehow?

What OS and codec ?

Windows Vista with MPC-HC (used as external player from mediaportal). Subs enabled in MPC (which wont be a problem for DXVA I read). I have the Ati Mobillity Radeon 3450.

Did you enable Aero ?
Did you enable vsync in CCC?
Are MPC-HC using as renderer EVR?

EVR is set to custom with the lockbuffer on 20 and Direct3D enabled.
Internal codes are set correctly. Without the Direct3D enabled feature many files has DXVA, WMVHD files will have a greenscreen with artifacts. With D3D fullscreen I have no DXVA it seems and the greenartifacts on wmvhd's still appear.

Enable aero - this should fix tering.

I thought that MPC-HC would kill aero when starting a video if DXVA with EVR is enabled? WIll try it tonight. Thanks for pointing me on this
