    Hi folks,

I've fixed the problem. At least in my case. I switched from EVR to VMR9 in mediaportal setup. Now I don"t get audio sync issues anymore. Used renderers like coreavc and powerdvd9. Both work flawless.

Switching to VMR9, also fixed my MPC-HC audio sync issues.

    Hope it helps.

Please post system specs, so that devs and other users can gain something from your report.

Does this info help? Or should I do some more testing. Can I post logs of this? If so, tell me how.

it has never been a issue with vmr9 for me either... to bad vmr9 is unusable with aticards....

interesting is that the problem disappears when turning off aero. But then there is massive tearing....

That would point into display driver direction as the vsync is no locking anymore the video playback rate when AERO has been disabled.

So, please test with AERO enabled and with both 24 Hz and 23.9xxx Hz refresh rates.

    23,976hz , Aero enabled = FAIL

    24hz, Aero enabled = FAIL

Tested various codecs, reclock enabled, reclock disabled. Nothing helps, audio (DTS, AC3, FLAC) keeps drifting out of sync.

Not a problem with any other directshow-player:mad:

I am at the time using a graphic card from ati , but have also experienced all of this problems with my nvidiacard.

How your audio is connected? with SPDIF? Could you try using analog cabling? Also try to remux & encode the audio to some other format (like mp3) that cannot be streamed directly over the SPDIF.

Im using HDMI for the audio/video, mostly flac for the audio ( no need for mp3? )

    23,976hz , Aero enabled = FAIL

Could you verify that the refresh rate is actually used (with powerstrip or display OSD itself)?

will check this as soon as i get the time... ( have been choosing the 23hz mode from the ati panel to get this)
How do i display the refreshrate on the OSD?

edit: ah ok maybe you meant the actual display (TV) OSD ;-)

ok, flac should be similar to mp3 (i.e. decoded on the PC side before sent to amplifier). Could you test the analog audio cables as there could be some issue with the way how audio renderer works with SPDIF / HDMI.
