Onyx666: the only thing I needed to do was to install the SVN (from 30 November).
I use CoreAvc (latest) for playback of 23.976 (HD) content (mostly MKV containers), for audio I use FFDshow.

Do you use AC3 / DTS sound through SPDIF??
Or do you use stereo sound?

The sync problem seems to occur to me only with AC3 or DTS sound through spdif to my AV-receiver...

thepahakurki: It's through SPDIF (onboard header) which is directed to HDMI (my videocard output), which is connected to my TV directly (for stereo sound).

I have audio sync issues as well, which I didn't have at my parents house.

    They have the following setup:
Asrock ION330 with HDMI -> TV (Video & Audio)
TV with stereo tulp -> Onkyo receiver (Stereo analoge)

    I have the following setup:
Asrock ION330 with HDMI to TV -> Video only
Asrock ION330 with SPDIF -> JazzSpeakers decoder (AC3/DTS passthrough)

When I let the audio go over HDMI and let it go to my TV with stereo, there is no audio sync issue. How come that works and the JazzSpeakers have the sync issue? Is it because of Stereo vs 5.1 AC3/DTS? Or maybe because audio and video are not sent on the same cable?

So my setup results is audio sync problems and my parents does not, is there any way to properly troubleshoot this so that I can fix it? The audio lag was almost not noticeable with the first test builds, but has grown every update a bit, which seems odd to me... :( Now running an older version, but also audio sync issues.

    Anyone?

Well I have the exact same problem:
    DVI on my video card
--> I use a HDMI adapter to HDMI cable which goes to my projector. Video only.

Digital audio with a separate cable (coaxial spdif) to my Denon AV receiver which does the decoding

--> sync issues. and sync issues only occur with 24hz mode.

It is always out of sync with me, no matter what Hz I select. I'll try the latest SVN and see how that works and try playing movies outside of MP to see what happens.

I upgraded my cpu from a e4500 to e6600. I did have most of my problems solved but now have more with the front and backend have to do a clean install to figure it out.

FWIW I did find with SPDIF that changing the sound output.. to or from direct sound (SpDIF) helped with stuttering.

I had a new aerial put in and faster processor. Having problems with channel changing but not videos etc.

I am running an unsupported setup but happy to provide more info.

WIll do a clean reinstall of the front end over the next week and let you guys know.

did the upgrade of cpu remove audio delay at 24hz ? because this is only issue i now still have. stuttering at 24hz has been solved with patch (see stuttering thread)

It made the menus run faster and the system more responsive but it didn't solve stutter i get sometimes. Im yet to turn off dxva. I suspect problem has more to do with NVIDA.

One new problem I have developed is stopping video takes forever... like 30 - 60 seconds. Gotta sort the issues out before I can pin it down.

Write more later fighting a one year old for the keyboard.

I was suffering from the same issue last night, I have to dig into it :)
