Same here. Audio is increasingly out of sync but only if DXVA is not used, e.g. wrongly encoded H.264 movies. Vista+EVR+MPC-HC+Reclock. TV@24p.

Yes, this is the same for me.

Where the mkv generally has a profile of 5.1 and reference frames of greater than 5 - this is where I get the synch issue.

I also run in Vista, EVR, onboard HD3200 and now GPU ATI4550. The new graphics card also suffers from the same problem.

All when using MPC Video Decoder. OK in CoreAVC but obviously cannot use DXVA.

Last two posts are pointing to the direction that this could be indeed a codec/HW issue. All who are experiencing this issue please do some further testing:

    • Files that have sync issues -> test with different H.264 codecs (Cyberlink, Arcsoft, MPC-HC, CoreAVC)
    • Check the profile level of video files that have the sync issues (and the files that work)
    • Test between ATI & Nvidia GPUs (ATI doesn't support HW accelleration for 5.1 profile) - make sure latest display drivers are used (Nvidia's 5.1 profile support is pretty new, added during this this year).

Please provide as much information as possible (I still don't have the 24p capable display so no testing for me is possible...)

C'mon guys, please provide some data (previous post has details). Its impossible to even start to look at this issue when no background details are known and I still cannot reproduce this issue myself (no other 24p device than a beamer and that is not for debugging).

I'll post pone the issue soon out of 1.1.0 context if no details aren't provided.

Sorry - will have time this weekend - work has been a nightmare this week.

I am pretty sure that using the MPC codec outside of mediaportal , the issue was not apparent, but I will confirm with a post on Saturday.

    Thanks.

No problem, real life gets into the way pretty often...

Try to gather as much info as possible. Multiple files (working ones and non-working), different codecs. The used H.264 profile in video file is the most important information (+ATI/Nvidia).

All my 24fps-files have sync issues it doesn't matter what codec I use either, I've tried CoreAVC (with and without CUDA), FFdshow, and MPC-HC's stand-alone with DXVA working (confirmed).

All files I've tried I have also tried in KMP and MPC-HC outside of MP with the different codecs and it works just fine.
I've gotten all tested files to work with DXVA in MPC-HC

OK, I haven't tried with any other material than h.264 coded (hard to come by any MPEG2 @ 24fps), maybe I coud try to find some Xvid @ 24fps and try with that.

    My harware:

    E8500
    Gigabyte EP45-DS4
    MSI N9400GT 512Mb - Driver 185.85
    2Gb RAM

I get some strange CPU usage when playing 24fps material too.

Here is a screenshot on the CPU-usage while playing Indy4 1080p, this is with MPC-HC's SAF and DXVA working
