    Seb,

I am using your FanartHandler.dll (version 3.1.0.0, 638 KB, 22.12.2013). Is this the right one? Keep in mind that I pulled it from the HTPC that is OK.

Regarding the log, I am not seeing these messages. I guess that if I did we would not be having this discussion.

That's the right one. No newer version available. All other versions before 3.1.0.0 are confirmed not working with 1.5 and 1.6

I go nuts. In plugins/process is the 3.1.0.0 - nonetheless when I look within MePo / Extensions it is displaying the old cul8er 2.3 Version. Where is it getting this data from

When i compiled the dll, i didn't change the version (i suppose lol like it was unofficial).
The log message (that confirm FH scrap something on clean db etc.) comes from FH.config.log

Yes, but why does it show 3.1.0.0 on the PC that has Fanart rinning right and 2.3.1 on the delinquent? The dll is the same.

He referred to the version number which is shown in MP Extension Installer.... I think there is some kind of version information file which is read by extension installer to show the current version... As he only has copied the .dll the version shown in the installer is still an old one

This is really weird. I now copied the whole MediaPortal directory from the functional HTPC to the Client. I also copied the fanart.xml to exclude any setting inconsistencies. When I then start MePo I can see the in FanartHandler logging that it is scraping - but it only downloads fanart, which is then stored into Thumbs\Skin Fanart\Scraper\Music. Nothing is stored into Artist.

When I then Play Music, the system is supposed to automatically search for the artist and create an artist.jpg file in thumbs\music\artists directory. Log example:
    Code:
02-Feb-2014 12:28:21 Info [ Scraper]: Trying to find fanart for artist Led Zeppelin.
02-Feb-2014 12:28:21 Info [ Scraper]: Found fanart for artist Led Zeppelin.
    02-Feb-2014 12:28:21 Info [ Scraper]: Downloading fanart for led zeppelin (C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Skin FanArt\Scraper\music\led zeppelin (765).jpg).
    02-Feb-2014 12:28:21 Info [ DatabaseManager]: Importing local fanart into fanart handler database (C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Skin FanArt\Scraper\music\led zeppelin (765).jpg).
02-Feb-2014 12:28:21 Info [ Scraper]: Found fanart for artist Led Zeppelin.
    02-Feb-2014 12:28:21 Info [ Scraper]: Downloading fanart for led zeppelin (C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Skin FanArt\Scraper\music\led zeppelin (843).jpg).
    02-Feb-2014 12:28:23 Info [ DatabaseManager]: Importing local fanart into fanart handler database (C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Skin FanArt\Scraper\music\led zeppelin (843).jpg).

02-Feb-2014 12:28:23 Info [ Scraper]: Found fanart for artist Led Zeppelin.
    02-Feb-2014 12:28:23 Info [ Scraper]: Downloading fanart for led zeppelin (C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Skin FanArt\Scraper\music\led zeppelin (6130).jpg).
    02-Feb-2014 12:28:23 Info [ DatabaseManager]: Importing local fanart into fanart handler database (C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Skin FanArt\Scraper\music\led zeppelin (6130).jpg).
02-Feb-2014 12:28:23 Info [ DatabaseManager]: Artist Led Zeppelin has already maximum number of images. Will not download anymore images for this artist.
As you can see, four fanart picture files get created, but the respective artist picture is not searched.

Starting all over again is kind of difficult. If I delete the fanart database, no new database gets created. I tried to delete all records within the plugin config, which gets confirmed, however, the database size remains unchanged at approx. 4 MB.

@Sebastiii, could you maybe send me an empty database?

    Hi,

    I have do that :
    Install official FH (latest version)
    Overwrite with my version.

    Go to : C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal
I have attached the files i use :)

Remove : FanartHandler.db3 (backup if you want) from C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database.

Now from configuration -> plugins -> FH -> i have started manually :

After that thumbs comes to arrived in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Music\Albums / Artists :)
And we can see in FH.config.log that download works. :p

J'en ai ras le bol

Did exactly what you said and ran into the same issues that I've seen before: not working!

The error is "A file cannot be created if it already exists".

Clicking OK continues anyway and the FH config screen opens. When I then click on 'Scrape for all Artist/Album Thumb' nothing happens - there is NO log file created.[DOUBLEPOST=1391347178][/DOUBLEPOST]Closing, saving in MePo config and reopening MePo Config / Plugins /FH2 runs into the same upgrading database error again.
