it went to 'final' version today and should be available soon...

AFAIK its all the updates since SP2, nothing new involved, so should not give any issues, unlike vista SP1.

Apparently the very last one too, from everything i have read.

Just installed it and - works fine! No trouble so far, especially not with MediaPortal (1..0.0.0 RC1)

I have no real reason to update to SP3. PC is running fine and do not browse the internet with it. Used for HTPc only

There are a few new features in addition to the updates. But nothing big. Just a few things back-ported from Vista.

The newer RDP client from Vista has been back ported, so that might be a benefit to some here.

I'm going to give it a miss on my MP machines until they next need a re-install. Thinking of doing this when MP1 goes final, I'll also take system images at certain points so it is a lot easier to re-install in future if needed.

There are some brave souls out there...
I think i'll wait until i'm happy with a 'stable' MP - then I can look forward to spending a fun few hours rebuilding if it nukes something important!
