i have a medion 7134 tv card ( philips ) and when i want to watch tv it says cant greate graph?

who knows a solution?

Install the WinDVR3 trial from InterVideo & test it.
It should work then.

I have the same card, and the same problem. Have installed WinDVR3 and now I don't get any error message anymore but still got a black screen when I want to watch tv. But when I start media portal and switch on the tv and also start another program for watching tv, and I switch from post, then is also switched on the other program. But only black screen in Media Portal ? Anyone got a clue ?

Some other people in the past with the same problems.

I have an Medion 8386 XL bought by ALDI the Netherlands who have an analog TV-card : Medion TV-Tuner MK2/3

With DSCaler works it fine (excellent picture) but cost a lot of processor power 60% (with Power Cinema 4.0 and Live Media Player Classic only 7% processor power) DScaler have also good teletext properties.
(I think guys who have bad picture by DSCaler they have not the good configuration)

graphedit works also good for my TV-card but MP gives a black screen, I have spanned a lot of time but only with black screen. The sound (audio) is good and also the channel selection.
And pitty there is no teletext under MP

Hi My Medion TV-Tuner 7134 MK2/3 works perfect with DScaler.
with MP all works radio and TV only a black screen.
I hope that MP make this also sone possible for the analog version of the Medion 7134 BDA Analog TV-card (Medion 7134 MK2/3 by DScaler)

MediaPortal searches for channels works: it stops at the right channels to add. But the screen stays black.

DScaler, and many other softwareprograms, works great with my Medion TV-Tuner 7134 MK2/3. Except MP of course...

Well... it appears that are a lot of user with sw based cards... so, will the dev team add support for this cards? my TV card is working fine with many other software... so, it's so difficult to add support for this card in MP?? :wink:

When will we hear an answer of the dev team?

This thread is almost 2 years old... How long must we wait until SW capture cards are supported ??
With supported I mean that MP recognise the TV-Tuner automatically (like in DScaler).

The Medion TV-Tuner 7134 MK2/3 is very popular (see older posts in this thread), especially in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, ... If you don't support it, you exclude many people. And what is a MP without TV ?

If you do what the software card thread says in the hardware forum you can get it working.

Unfortunately, it isn't so easy to get it work. First, I have added this text in CaptureCardDefinitions.xml:

Now he find a few channels. But as I watch TV, the screen stays black (audio and teletext works). I have tried many encoders/decoders like DScaler, MPV, Cyberlink, InterVideo, but it doesn't work.
