installing the dxweb setup manually fixes the issue
    Excellent.:)

The installation process is sensitive to the Windows setup and is dependent on an updated system. Yet there is an error message that Windows update is not functional.
Anyway, I am glad it is working for you now.

O that might be beause this system is connected to a WSUS server.
Might I suggest detection of failing to download prerequisites, with user friendly error message and a link to manually download?

Yeah, I don't disagree. However, 99 out of 100 install process run smoothly and our development resources are scarce.:(

Hows it going with that anyway?
Is MP 2 now the main focus or is MP 1 still the primary?

Actually this is the wrong question ;).

Both developments are taking place in parallel and different teams are working on each. There is no plan to replace MP1 by MP2 and it is to everybody's discretion to select the one or the other.

MP2 appeared later, and it was not published in the general documentation, they immediately made a section for it, so everything that is not in the MP2 section is for MP1, but due to multiple changes and migrations, something could have been lost, but the documentation is available. Also for MP1 you can just take any existing plugin...

Interesting. :coffee: I always have DVB subtitles enabled in "MP Config", but I actually switch on subtitles only for those films that have deafening sound effects and music, combined with inaudible dialogue. I have never noticed the problem that you have described, but I also use the EVR renderer, and not the Madvr renderer. So...
