change to radiotimes website?? (1 Viewer)

Just arrived home after a 6 month "Holiday", did a fresh 1.1 install to 1.1 and (almost) no programme info coming in from the WebEPG plugin. Is the RadioTimes problem described here still happening or have I done something wrong?

try using digiguide data - if you get programmes then your setup is correct

ianc - I had the same thing, did a fresh install the weekend after 1.1 final came out, got no data from radiotimes via WebEPG. I switched to digiguide, which works. I've been keeping an eye on this thread to see if it's worth trying radiotimes again, but haven't gotten round to it so far.

The radiotimes site appears not to be working again. It was was ok yesterday 21.8.2010, but it is not currently returning any data.

Didn't notice this problem till I ran out of data. I guess I'll have to learn how to use webepg and digiguide. any advice?

Yep that's what I've been saying all along. Now I am using a program called DVBGuide to take the EPG off the airwaves. In the UK, the quality of the listing is quite usable and runs for 7 days. It even has a limit to the length of program titles so that they fit in better in huge text on your TV screen. The only problem I've had is one day it started backdating the EPG with empty data. I switched from the channel 4 mux to the BBC mux and everything is working perfectly again.

For DVB-T, the EPG for every single channel will be broadcasted on each mux and it should make no difference which one you pick.


Another thing I do is then run the new EPG through the XMLTV GUI program to add "Film: " to the title of all films. Works pretty great
