Hi,
I'm completely new to MediaPortal, and am having trouble figuring out how to configure it to my TV card (ATI TV Wonder). My first question is: How do you Add/Edit Capture Cards?

    Hi,

the answer is a little bit like the one from geov: Maybe you looked at the wrong spot, you will find it in TV server configuration if you installed the client-server configuration.

Hint: Tell us about your system, that will make it easier to get help. Forum - User CP - Edit System Specification

    Alfred

    I'm running Windows XP on a Sony Vaio Model PCV-RZ22G(UC) with a Pentium 4, 2.4GHz, 512MB memory.

When I click on the TV Server Configuration icon, the "Set up database connection" window opens. It gives me a choice to use either the "Microsoft SQL Server 2005" or "My SQL 5". Where do I go from there.

Sorry, but this looks like you did just the installation without looking to any documentation BEFORE !
No, I am using MediaPortal and When I click on the TV Server Configuration icon
Obviously, you installed the Server/Client configuration (single seat) which is a good choice.

It gives me a choice to use either the "Microsoft SQL Server 2005" or "My SQL 5". Where do I go from there.

During installation, the guide asked you if you want to use Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or My SQL 5. I expect you did not read and just continue, so most likeley it will be Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

And, most likely your next question will be "What is the password"? This also was told you during installation (and in the documentation), and it is "MediaPortal".

;)So again. please try to do some work for yourself also: Read the documentation, search the forum and, as mentioned before, tell us about your system, that will make it easier to get help. Forum - User CP - Edit System Specification.

FYI, you can also play with these settings: show TV Server Configuration shortcut => Right-click => Properties => Compatibility => Change High DPI settings That way you don't have to change the whole scaling of Windows just for this particular application
