Connect to livestream television (1 Viewer)

Is it possible to connect to a live stream of what ever tv station with MediaPortal? I tried to do this with MediaPortal 2 but the only option I see is to connect real TV tuners, but I just want to connect to live streams.

Shame no-one has answered this as I too will at some point want to access streamed/Internet TV as I don't have a TV tuner (and anything I get will be limited to USB). I did find some channels under the OnlineVideos section but much of the time Filmon.tv is missing from the list and none of the others (Eurosport, SkyGo, ITVPlayer) seem to actually work - I can list programs but not view any. Just in case someone asks, yes I'm in the UK so should be able to view UK channels.

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.

MP1 MP2 .mpd stream link DE
I have a stream link for IPTV that is a .mpd. I can play the link in VLC and MPC-BE, but when I search for it in the TV servers it can not find it. The stream is HEVC with AAC audio. Does mediaportal not support .mpd streams?
