Hi everyone,

I just wondered how many people currently are using MP.

Are there any numbers or estimates of the number of installed portals?

Or does anyone have a rough idea?

At least I use MP Other than that there is no real data where MP has been installed and is it used actively on those places. Althou it would be quite interesting data to see.

Seriously, no. of MP users and/or running installations is something I've always missed, as I think it would be both interesting and useful.
(Perhaps an impressing no. would make ATi take their head out of their ... )

You might get a rough idea of numbers based off of user downloads, but those numbers dont take into account people re-downloading the installation.

If it helps at all, I have it installed on 3 HTPC's in my house, so i guess im user 4, 5 and 6...

really hard to get valid data as we cant pingback daily or whatever. What I can say is that we have between 4k and 6k started installations (the installer grabs an xml-file). Daily.

Is the number of downloads visible someplace?

That excludes a lot of different file hosts

Then of course there's always local magazine downloads to add to the tally, some download from sourceforge, some direct from there server, but always best to get it from a reputable source like us
