The Problem is only in "VU Meter" and "VU Meter 2".

Please post a clean mediaportal.log so we can take a look at the issue.

Try resetting the config to default, save, exit configuration and start over...here both "VU meter" work fine so I think it's something in your config file.

Maybe I found a (the) problem with the new imon driver. When I start Mediaportal and the plugin, a new imon symbol opens in the icon bar (in the right corner). The problem is, that (for me) the plugin only works, when the frontview is turned on (so I use the option "always"). But this new opened imon driver which is opened by the plugin, always has Frontview turned off and when I change the option to "always on" and close Mediaportal and reopen it again, it opens a second time a new imon-software. It closes the old one (where the setting of frontview is on always on) and the new one is again set on the option "off/never". If the plugin would open it with always on, the plugin with display would work for me?

Maybe there is a setting file for the imon program?

Please test using iMon 7.40 and attached dll. There is a new option "Reload manager during driver start". This did the trick for my old VFD.

obviously it did not work....

The display works now, but the remote doesn't work anymore.

chemelli, which settings do you use?

The imon symbol in the right corner says (after MediaPortal is loaded) no imon product found (circle with yellow exclamation mark in it)?

Hi all,

thanks for the great Plugin you made. It worked great... for a while
After updating to MediaPortal 1 RC3 it was still working, but the iMon Display of the Silverstone LC11 M now have a Delay about 3-4 Seconds. So there is not way to control the HTPC without TV anymore .
First i thought it would be a driver problem so i changed everything ... different Soundgraph Driver, 2 versions of this plugin and MediaPortal RC1- RC3.
Still the same problem :-(
After a clean install of Windows XP SP3 with MP RC3 and the latest iMon driver the plugin is still not working without the delay!!!

Any ideas???

PS: the internal Display Plugin works normal ... but without the nice graphic equalizer :-(

thenoob i've problems like you... icons on the bar and delay of 10-20seconds to remote mediaportal... will be fix this problem? maybe with new driver? thanks anyway

p.s. the strange is that mce remote with imon manager immediatly works mediaportal... imon remote delay and mce remote no... only there is no configuration to use mce remote with imon... and then i want use remote imon

Hello again

i was testing a lot now and i still not able to use the iMon VDF....
Everytime i start MediaPortal or test the configurations the iMon Manager starts again in the taskbar! So everything is set to normal again!
Maybe thats the Problem???
Anybody who could tell my what im doing wrong?

Migo,

exit MediaPortal and try deleting "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\CybrDisplay*.xml". then reconfigure your display from strach and see if this make any difference...
Enable also extensive logging and post you mediaportal.log after reproducing the issue.

Btw, iMON manager NEED to have FrontView in "never" mode.

there is no CybrDisplay*.xml file on my system!
I set the plugin to default... i only changed the settings witch are needed ( Advanced - Use SG_VDF.dll V3 + delay driver initialization)! Rest at defaults. Test works good but still a 4 seconds delay while MediaPortal is running.

PS: every restart of the iMon software the setting for another program to control the driver is resettet and sometimes iMon manager told me that there were no hardware connected . Hope it will help

1. Have you disabled the external display plugin?
2. Why do you have "Use SG_VFD.dll V3" checked? This should not be necessary.
3. As soon as you enable the cybrdisplay plugin, it WILL create xml files in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal. Check again.

1. checked - the external display plugin is disabled!

2. Without the SG_VFD.dll V3 the VDF does not work!

3. ok...my fault. I found the .xml files and deleted them. Then i let all options as default (i only choosed iMon Display and USB port) and pushed the check button - nothing on the Display.

Any ideas left?
