Ok, i think i'm close to be good but that need test (Will provide an installer later)
So 2 new(s) options :
The first one is to tell MP to select the default track (tagged in MKV)
The second one is to set setting from LAV Splitter and then MP will switch to the selected one from LAV Splitter.
Before I go ahead with this, I have another problem. Since the upgrade to 1.13, even though I have subtitles enabled, they don't come on automatically.
It's normal, before it was not ok, i mean, sub was loaded even if language doesn't match, MP select the first language available (whatever the setting)
But next MP version will have one new to act like before.
So you can upgrade your current installation
Btw, like this installer is based on master, you should be able to select the new feature that act like 1.12 about subtitle :
If you want that MP fallback to the first subtitle available, you need to change the setting to : 'Subtitle will be auto loaded by first available'
Otherwise, if you want to change subtitle within MP, you need to use the remote subtitle key or the keyboard 'L' key. (Btw 'A' is for audio, 'E' for edition and 'V' for video stream)
You can map all those keys (some are already mapped to remote button).
You can look at the Wiki for explanation too
Hey, that question lead me to : (lol) did you know that you can switch audio when playing the video from remote etc. ?
But still, i think that to have the possibility to always select a default audio track is good and use LAV Splitter setting too.
I haven't looked into the remote side of things yet. My MP for Films and Series isn't fully stable yet so I want to take one thing at a time and make sure it works 100% before moving on.
Ok, I understand you saying choose "subtitle auto loaded by first available", but if I choose "subtitle by preferred language", should that not also work given that I have set English to be my language?
