Hey,

"subtitle by preferred language" should work yes if the subtitle language is correctly tagged as English (in fact, if it match the subtitle setting in MP config).

If no match found, MP will not auto switch on subtitle but you can do it manually

Do you have a sample to provide ? (You can use mediainfo tool to know what tag you have set).

The subtitle name is : 'english - hearing impaired' but LCID is correct 1033, so it should switch on it.

Sorry, you were right, that was the file.

I tried it again now and it worked fine, Subtitles worked fine with being set as "auto load with default language", I wonder why it worked fine now?

Seems good, no clue why it wasn't working before maybe a setting has changed lol.
Can you try the LAV Splitter Stream selection too ?
