Emphatic did you upgrade anything else at the time you upgraded to the new version of MediaPortal?

EDIT: I ask because looking at your logs, the moment the rendering errors began, it doesn't look like Moving Pictures was doing much of anything. I was maybe expecting the error to be trigger at the same time a selection was changed on the facade or something.

You got a bucket load of D3D errors, have you updated any drivers\software recently, try reinstalling with November 2008 directx release

With "upgraded", do you mean installing the latest SVN? I'm downloading the DirectX re-dists for August and November right now, because the webinstaller didn't install correctly for me. Perhaps this is what's causing it all.

Yeah that's exactly what I meant. Just trying to narrow things down. Let me know how the drivers work for you.

Also are you using a plug-in called MyRefresh? Marvenius reported some graphic issues, a little different than yours, but still. And he mentioned he was using MyRefresh. Not saying that's the cause, just looking for things in common.

Recent plugins for me are MyEmulators and MyLyrics. I've upgraded my DirectX now and I get no more errors in the log. But I do get this A LOT:

2008-11-23 18:27:36.390625 [Info.][MPMain]: GUIWindowManager: Could not find window 35

I'm guessing this is skin related? I'm using the new, hot Mediastream skin my Pilehave! But I also get this with Aeon Wide 1.3.

I'm gonna run MP again now and post fresh logs in just a minute to this post. Stay tuned.

Edit: Here's the logs. And MovingPictures opened with Hostel II and when I selected it the GUI (once again) got unresponsive. I pressed the Home button, but it's still on Hostel II.

im having a Crash problem, dont know if its MP or TVseries or Moving pitures or Mediastrewm skin, thats cosing it. but i have a feeling its some thing to do whit this D3.. So thanks ill try DL this file and see if it helps...

This plugin keeps getting sweeter. Thanks for all your effort.
One thing I can't figure out presently:
I have covers named as %filename%.jpg or .tbn in my folders.

What value would be used to parse the filename as the cover value in the Cover Artwork Filename Pattern?
I don't see any value in the DB that would equal the straight filename just the full path

I think I've found a bug but unfortunately don't have the time right now to sink my teeth into it. I'm using MP rc3 with the generic skin files in filmstrip view.

1. select a movie somewhere in the middle of the strip. Press OK/enter to get to the info view, play the film.
2. press previous/back on the remote to minimize the video the the bottom left corner.

The cover and backdrop is in working order but the tilte and tagline of the movie is the one from the first movie in my filmstrip. Anyone that can reproduce this? I'll look into it more thoroughly tomorrow.

This was meant to be in 0.6 and it just got overlooked. I just made the fix in the code, it will work correctly in the next release. %filename% will be replaced with the filename of the movie without the extension. If a movie is multi-part (has more than one file) it will use the filename of the first part.
