I re-imported (using F3->Import TV guide) but still the same... how do I clear the guide before re-importing?

BTW... I was previously using the jrobbo one...

    Hi smeghead,

I don't know if there is a way through the interface but you can do it through the configuration.exe. Just open that, go to Television then Program Guide and click the big button on the lower right labelled "Remove all programs from TV database."
There may be a better or easier way but this works for me :)

And just to be sure...remember to turn on the autoupdate feature. With that you should never have to bother checking to see you have the latest version because it will update all by itself.

    Angusmann,

How do I enable that feature? I could not see anything in the ini file or in the instructions. Feel free to call me names if I missed something obvious :D

Great work with the latest fixes too ...I resorted to the webepg grabber while dugg was not working, but I do prefer dugg. Keep up the great work, it's very much appreciated.

    Cheers,

Just add the word "autoupdate" on one line to the ini file....

    autoupdate

This activates dugg's automatic update feature.
It is highly recommended that this feature be turned on.
Each time it is run, dugg will check to see if an update is available and if
necessary it will update itself automatically.

    Usage example :
    autoupdate
This will force the program to check for updates and apply them automatically.

    This is an excellent grabber.
I have just a couple of questions about the ini file.
I am in Perth, Western Australia.

Should I change the ini to
    timezone=+0800

Also I'm using it with Media Portal do I change this line in ini to
    xmlname=tvguide.xml

The timezone - Yes, change it to +0800.
There is also somewhere in the MediaPortal setup where you can enter a timezone also, and sometimes the two conflict. The result is that programmes will be scheduled so many hours ahead, or behind time.

If you've got "timezone=+0800" and all your shows are 6 hours out, just change it to "timezone=+0200" until you get it right.

After you change the timezone you can just run the program again - it won't need to grab anything, it will just re-make the XML with the new timezone data.

And yes, with MediaPortal you should put a line in dugg.ini that says :
    mp
and change the XML name to whatever matches the one in your MediaPortal setup. Most often this is tvguide.xml

FTP - enabled version 4.0 was just released a few minutes ago. If you have this line in dugg.ini :
    autoupdate
it will update itself the next time it is run.

I don't know if this is due to ninemsn trying to play "funny buggers" again, but I noticed that in my EPG, there was no data available for ABC Melbourne for today (Thursday) and for next Tuesday. I have just checked ninemsn and confirmed that the ABC is missing most of the data for today - but it is all there for next Tuesday.... :?

So I deleted all the DUGG data and temp files to force a complete refresh, but I still do not get any EPG data for next Tuesday - I guess because this data has already been grabbed at least once before and now resides on the DUGG server - in the state it was in when there was no data for the ABC on ninemsn.... :(

Is there anyway to force a refresh from ninemsn, so that next Tuesday's ABC data can be updated?

If its the same as the previous DUGG, put 'noftp' in the config file. I too had a few problems with this setup, as when shows are changed, it is unable to tell.

Thanks - that fixed it for next Tuesday.... :)

I must remember this "undocumented feature" for future use.

In fact, it would be good if DUGG checked for missing data from the ftp site and then tried ninemsn again, just incase the missing data had been updated at ninemsn in the meantime?

I use PVR Scheduler to wake the PC twice a week in the early hours to run the EPG grabber (DUGG, in this case) and then put the PC back to standby.

However, this morning I noticed that DUGG did not get to complete the EPG grabbing process... :(

It looks like the automatic upgrade process that DUGG goes through (which I assume terminates dugg.exe for a short while?) caused PVR Scheduler to think that the grabber had completed, so PVR Scheduler immediately put the PC back to standby.... :?

The next time that I resumed the PC, dugg.exe completed the EPG grabbing process successfully.

I am not sure how to workaround this issue, and I guess it would also affect anyone who is using Windows Scheduler to run dugg.exe?
