    Hello Frodo,

    i use the lastet svn. But on Astra-HD TVE3 only found Premiere-HD and Astra-HD. Which driver for the nova-hd-s2 should I use? Did it work on WindowsXP, Vista or both?

    Thanks!

    Same problem here,
    neither Pro7HD nor SAT1HD are found with Technisat Skystar HD and latest svn.
    It worked several weeks ago.

    If needed I can post logs tomorrow.

    Hi!

    it works with the lastest svn build! TVE3 found all HD Channels(Pro Sieben HD,SAT.1 HD...).

    But when I will watch it, I get no smooth playback! Which h.264 codec should I use? At the moment I have testet coreAVC, PowerCinema and ffdshow.

    Thanks Nico!

    hi,

    i got the hvr4000 and just installed the latest versions of mp&tve3 -> finally found the hd stations(pro7hd, sat1hd, anixe hd) as well.
    but i don´t get a picture when i tune to them(sometimes no sound either).
    i´ve tried using ffdshow as h264 decoder.

    the 0.8W Thor 2_3.ini is formated like this:
    20=11403,v,24500,78,DVB-S
    21=11421,H,25000,23,S2
    Like i said, this is wrong. the ini file should contain the values for fec,modulation,pilot and roll of
    DVB-S or S2 is no use

    ...I tried to write a TV application for HVR-4000. I found some hidden extended KS properties beside PILOT, ROLL and DiSEqC. I also found that currently HVR-4000 driver does not support KSPROPERTY_BDA_MODULATION_TYPE and KSPROPERTY_BDA_INNER_FEC_RATE IDs of the KSPROPSETID_BdaDigitalDemodulator KS property. I asked Hauppauge and received a reply that they didn't want to publicize anything outside the document "C++ Programming DiSEqC for the Nova-S-Plus / Nova-SE2 products", which I got from them (and did MediaPortal Team get one ?). HVR-4000 ships with CyperLink Power Cinema TV application. May Hauppauge only want to co-operate to CyperLink men ? (Some customers complained on Hauppauge forum that Power Cinema is too slow and ...awful !!!)

    i´m using winxp mce(did a clean install) with the hauppauge hvr4000 drivers from the uk site(dated june 22nd 07, cd_mce_3.1g)

    like i said, ffdshow doesn´t work, i also tried coreavc but that only gives me the upper left corner of the picture, extremely zoomed in. i also tried intervideo windvd8 platinum but it´s h264 decoder isn´t listed in mp´s h264 list. have no idea why though :(

    Just a quick confirmation - are you guys using the NOVA-HD-S2 card? Does it work with XP & MediaPortal?

    Ill want a second TV card, and as the place ill be moving to soon has a sattelite already, i thought a NOVA-HD-S2 would be a good choice for S ans S2 channels. (i.e. Sky's Freesat).

    I assume DVB-S channels work ok? and its S2 channels that may not?

    Thanks!

    - I found that Modulation from the document "C++ Programming DiSEqC for the Nova-S-Plus / Nova-SE2 products"I got is not right for HVR-4000. All remain information are correct. I also see that TVEngine3 source code is trying some modulation rules. I think that if Media Portal works with Nova-S-Plus / Nova-SE2 card, it will also work with HVR-4000. Words of Hauppauge's supporters are right. I was wrong when thinking that the hidden properties of HVR-4000, which I found, are the necessary for tuning DVB-S2.

    I have the Hauppauge WinTV Nova-HD-S2 Card in my TV Server and i can't scan for Channels. I downloaded the latest SVN Build for TV Engine and Mediaportal today (17.08.2007), but it still wont work. It crashes after a few seconds. Anyone got a clue?? I'm using the latest MCE Drivers from Hauppauge Site. The major Problem for me is: I have a second, Card WinTv Nova S, and after i installed the Nova HD-S2 Card it doesnt get any Channels when i scan, only display "No Signal" (and "YES" i have checked if i have the Cable in the correct Card) but TV Server Management Consol doesnt crash like with the S2 Card.

    HELP

    What can i do?

    Regards

    Dirk

    EDIT:

    I deactivated the HD-S2 Card and after reboot i can Scan with the older (Nova S) Card without any Problems.

    Brief update... Hauppauge support responded quickly, stating that the "driver for all of our product confirm to the BDA format".
