Streaming a bluray rip with true hd soundtrack to either phone or web browser results in crackly sound. Is this a known limitation?

Yes, works fine in VLC normally. When playing back via the streaming server the sound sound is all crackly and distorted.

I've noticed that this works fine when using an IOS device. It's only an issue when using Chrome/IE etc. on a Windows machine.
