I want to try out the EPG but since I haven't got any Capture card installed at the moment, I want to know if my error comes from the absence of card or if my file is corrupt.

My previous TBS PCI-E card failed, so I bought another one. The model I chose is the TBS 6181-SE, which can be seen on Amazon here...
You could use a different player that handles HDR content but thats more hassle then installing MadVR
