If "Auto-create TV/Video Thumbs" on Configuration is disabled, no thumbs are shown in My Videos even if there already exist cached thumbs.
This patch fixes this issue.

Fix for thumb in My Video not showing if already cached (using SVN23143).patch
Your patch I pretty valid as the implementation of the video thumbs itself is not very sophisticated.
It would be better to have:
- separate settings for recording and video thumbs
- vital methods like SetThumbnails not doing "heavy" work
- a dedicated class keeping a list of non-cached thumb files (mainly to avoid heavy IO load and re-launching a failed mtn.exe _every_ time you enter a directory)
Until then your little fix will help to get the video thumbs back - thx!

It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases.

I compliment you on the thoroughness of your investigations. (y)
Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas what the problem might be. :(
Perhaps someone else will post with some suggestions.
