Please continue testing with 10.2 Catalyst driver version and report if it has cured the flickering. We could go even as far as remove that ATI related extra texture copy step that causes lewer end GPUs to perform badly with MP. I won't promise anything as it requires lot of testing and I'm not sure if we have enough time for that before 1.1.0.

Runnin Win7 x64 HD3200 onboard and 4350 in another system - MP RC1 DXVA working - tested with DXVAchecker and 10.2 Cat drivers - no flickering anymore.

Good to hear flickering might be resolved once and for all.... Just one thing, had trouble with Standby on the latest ATI drivers, would get a BSOD once returning from resume, do the latest 10.2 fix this?

    hi disaster,

do you have the same problems with 4350 as gibman pointed to in this thread? https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/video-cards-334/uvd-bad-error-concealment-77998/

I can't use DXVA with my onboard 4350 chipset, because it shows the artifacts in ARD/ZDF HD. Only way is to use sw-only codecs

Running MP 1.1.0 RC1 with ATI 10.2 and Cyberlink 8.0 or Microsoft's codecs gives bad flickering in all menu's when watching HD hardware accelerated content. The last MP 1.1.0 beta with SVN did also flicker but way way way less.

    :sorry:

mhm i don't have any flickering on both of my systems. Also not with HD content (only live TV) no blueray or so. But DXVA is def. working for me my X2 2300BE is not fast anough to decode HD content with under 20% CPU load.

Ok, i'll install a second pc with mp 1.1.0 rc1 and an ati card with 10.2 cat. I'll be back in .........

    Ok,

I installed a second pc with an ATI card 4850X2 latest drivers Cat 10.2 and profiles. I used MP 1.1.0 RC1 with hardware acceleration for HD content. Tried skins Bllue3wide, Blackglass, with and without plugins infoservice (beta). On this pc there is none to nothing flickering, so there is some left. Specially when scrolling through epg and vertical overlays.

On the main mediacenter I uninstalled the cat10.2 drivers and reïnstalled them, tried the skins Blue 3 wide, Black Glass and X-factor with and without infoservice (the tickerbar) and with and without viewmode switcher : flickering all over.

Mayby the graphiccard HD2600 is not up to par with the latest 10.2 cat drivers. I am not sure how to catch this in logfiles.

    Regards Ferry Bervoets.
