How about a dedicated sticky for the SVN where only devs can post. It could contain a running narrative of how the project is going, known bugs and how close they are to solving, small development timelines and general info to keep the troops happy.
I think that this is something the whole community would benefit from.

Well i added it and it wouldn't let the forums load. I tried twice to get this installed just in case i missed a step but no luck. Maybe something to do with this theme is causing the problem, i'm not sure. I'm contemplating moving to another forum software so if anyone has a suggestion let me know, i'm really leaning towards vbulletin.
