Google Android set top box (1 Viewer)

Hello.

I have jut bought a google android set top box is it possible to remove the software on the android and install mediaportal so it just boots up to mediaportal.

Short answer, no. MP require Windows

You can install MPExtended on your HTPC and get aMPdroid for the set top box which should allow you to achieve what you want.
