Find mptray from this site and install, this will let the green button control mediaportal, I then disable the windows services which are to do with media center just to be safe.

Extract to Program files\Team-mediaportal\mediaportal folder, hit the install bat.

I then click the exe. file to run.

Yep, it doesn't work here either. I've installed it as instructed. the MPTray process is running, but MCE still oopens (with no MP) when pressing Green button, even though i tried to remove the MCE Tray app from startup in the system registry.

I've done what is suggested in the first link you've provided (as i'm running XP MCE 2005).

Pressing the "Green Button" now no longer starts MCE, but it still doesn't start MP even though I have install MPTray-Mod and have the MPTray.exe process running. Instead, pressing the "Green Button" now put my system into Standby

    Any ideas?

Ran into this problem following an otherwise sucessful upgrade from MP 1.34 x64 to MP 1.35 x64 the CEC Remote plugin which I use just to control volume and standby, will no longer put my devices (TV & AVR) to sleep when the HTPC is put in standby. Also when I wake up the HTPC MP closes or crashes (not sure which) as per the example in...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
