It's under review whether I can use this skin. We keep a load of cartoons etc for our 2 yr old boy on the htpc. We usually put the folder on screen and he points to what he wants to watch. Today he kept pointing at MePo! Got most upset when we couldn't put a MePo video on.

Good work :)

We have a similar setup for my 3 grandsons, cartoons, Bear in the big blue house, asterix, tom and jerry. Mepo hasn't made it to my htpc box yet, I'm waiting for the next stable release and specifically the new music engine screens before that happens. When it does I foresee problems, especially with the 18 month old!

PS Barney the purple $%&^$##$*(#* is banned from this house!

you really hit the nail (again)... ;)
font goes great with the rest, just bear in mind that has to be free font because of copyright issues...

haven't tried it on tv yet but maybe the font should be a little bigger. that's only the feeling i've got from this screenshot and i could be wrong tho...

keep up with your great work!

A quick note about fonts and copyright -

my understanding is this - the name can be copyrighted or maybe trademarked, and the ttf file itself also I think; but NOT the actual shapes.
i.e. If you create a bitmap of a ttf and ship just the bitmap it is unencumbered.

The legal reasoning behind this goes - if you own the copyright on the 'shape' of a font then you'd get to 'grab' rights to all content created using it - which is just too much.

Anyway, to cut to the chase - if MP used bitmap fonts then copyright would not be an issue. But the run-time scaling and ttf provides is too useful to give up I guess so this is probably all academic.

Most (all?) small PC cases accept only ITX motherboards, which have only one PCI-E slot. So you could install only one PCI-E tuner card. A quad-tuner card would give you four tuners, but if you wanted more tuners you would need to use the TBS eight-tuner card, or use external tuners, either USB tuners (available with single or dual...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

What's the best way to select a different backdrop? Sometimes the first selected backdrop is not great and I'd like to select another. Moving Pictures scales down the high res pictures and shrinks the filesize as well so I can't just go to fanart or themoviedb and get the images without doing some extra work to get the file right...

First thing to say is that I use MP1, whereas I believe that you use MP2. @ge2301 has just posted that MP2 has a "folder view" in addition to the "library view", so you should be able to set up your system as I describe below, but the details will differ. In MP1, the folders that are to appear on the "Videos" panel are defined in "MP...
