    Can anyone tell me...

the graphics for the skin seem to be collated into 3 .png files under the skin's main folder, but there is a media folder with all the same graphics saved as separate files. What are they for?

Sorry? I guess I want to know if the others are used for anything? Do I have to bother with them?

    My guess is no.

Each time you change the skin you need to delete the package of png files for your changes to show, media portal will re-create these on its first run if it doesnt find them.

They are packaged so they can be referenced quicker making media portal quicker.

Same thing goes for the xml

    Hi Glenn,

In the mediafolder are all gfx inside for the skin.

The 3 or 4 png files in the skinfolder makes mp self by first start of the skin.
It is for faster loading the skingfx.

If you change a gfx in the mediafolder, you must delete the 3 or 4 png´s in the Skinfolder and also delete packedgfx.xml.
By the next start of mp it will make new png´s in the skinfolder and you can see then your changes.

    Greetings Harley :)

My bad, I misunderstood your post then :) Yeah, these things can get complicated really quickly. I remember scrapping some of my skin-improvement-ideas because I couldn't get these cross-dependencies sorted out.

I would have to know more details, and ultimately, I'll have to test it when I get my new display, but an AI answer I got (I don't trust AI and this may not be correct) was that HDR is encoded with the HEVC codec and I know MePo uses the HEVC codec to play 4K UHD Blue-ray discs. So, there is at least the possibility that it will work...

i love how subtitles are implemented in the MP2 videoplayer, this is just perfect. 1080p playback is also very good. But video playback in MP2 is buggy when playing 4k material. Therefore: PLEASE add an option for an external video player! I'd LOVE to have VLC back as videoplayer, like in MP1! This works perfectly. You will make a...

So, you're power cycling the TV, but not putting the PC to sleep ? In General => Startup/Resume settings, try checking "Ignore Windows resolution/size changes" In Codecs and Render, try selecting the specific audio device rather than "Default DirectSound device" Just ideas, no guarantee this will do anything. If this doesn't work, I...
