I don't think this needs my judgement if you are ok with this. This is the purpose of "customization" ;). You can see how I mapped my remote in this thread. I am attaching the current version of my keymapping on this post. I am using external applications for the "green button" (runs MediaPortal and some scripts) and the "standby button" (runs MediaPortal and scripts if they don't exist already, closes MediaPortal if it runs) but everything else should be easily comprehensible for anyone.
btw: you don't need to map all of the HID devices, but this is just a little flaw and not really important at all. You also can add a "minimize" command to your script to automatically minimize EventGhost after startup (might be usefull if you add EventGhost to Windows startup autorun).

    so long...

Thought I'd let everyone know that I've found a much nicer plugin to replace MyKeys, It's 1000x more configurable and leads to a much nicer setup, and you can again type inside of MP without random screens popping up if you configure it right.

    Here's the Link: KeyboardInputPlugin

This truly seems like an awsome remote

One question though. Is it possible to use IR for some buttons and RF for some or do I have to have the same for all buttons.

It would be nice to have RF for all butons used to PC and learn my tv buttons, etc and use them with IR

You should be able to do this with an IR Blaster hooked up to your PC. The computer receives an RF command from the remote and you could have it set up to pass out a different command via IR to another device.

You have to switch devices on the remote to use RF and IR. However you cannot map RF AND IR to ONE "page" of the remote.

What is a "page" is this something I can easily (spelling) change on the remote or does one change page with a computer hooked up to the remote or something.

    Thanks for your help

I refered to the different device buttons (PC, TV, AUX, CAB/SAT) on top of the remote. Pressing one of these buttons loads a set of commands to the respective buttons (if you press "TV" the remotes buttons are mapped for controlling TV...).

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Does anyone else have problem with long (several hours) pauses of TV broadcasts? If I pause and forget, I can still resume TV the next day, but if I try to change channel or stop, MP freezes. Only way to fix is to restart both MP and TV Service. Sometimes I need to restart PC It seems that TVServer cannot proprtly handle large...

MP1 MP2 1.31.0 Cannot view Changelog anymore DE
Hi all, I don't frequently update my MediaPortal and before seeing if it's really useful I used to browse the Changelog to determine if this update is necessary for my system or not. Today I wanted to check the Changelog for version 1.34 (1.31 installed on my system) and I was asked for a “Jira” login. I tried to use the same one as...
