BTW - just testing Win7x64 and Haali is not closing correctly ewen for Microsoft DTV-DVD decoder (MPC-HC have same problem with DXVA ON/OFF, only cyberlink h.264 is closing haali correctly).

So i didnt think MPC-HC is the problem here...

Again, tested GB-PVR and gues what? No problem at all...

EVR or VMR9?

It is Win7, so of course it is EVR.

Never mind, what I wrote came out wrong. What I meant was that PowerDVD on W7 - using VMR9 - doesn't keep the Haali icon :)

I think MP+Haali issue should be tagged as Critical, becouse it prevens to play video files no Win7 correctly.

Worst of all is fact, there is no possible haali spliter replacement - yes, you can install MPC-HC spliters, but you can say bay-bay to internal subtitles, switch between audio tracks/subtitles, etc...

    EDIT:

Nice, so SUB was right... http://mantis.team-mediaportal.com/view.php?id=2454
Can anybody compile SVN with this fix to test?

I have tested SVN 23525 (fix included). It does not work. Mediaportal still crashes and I have two Matroska splitter icons displayed.

I was running Mediaportal in Windowed mode so I was able to check the icons during playback. After playing and stopping a MKV file the Haali icon still remains. After starting another MKV a second icon is displayed. After stopping the video the second icon disappears - the first icon still remains and I can still switch between the audio and subtitle track even their is no video playing! The graph is still running and was not released. After starting some other MKV Mediaportal crashes. Tested with Vista SP2, MPC H264-decoder with EVR.

Haali is currently working on a new version so lets hope this new version will improve the current situation and give as a splitter that will cover our needs.

It is fix for VMR9 (WinXP), not EVR.

    This is not haali problem...

    This is not haali problem...

So no go for win 7 :(

Fix should be for both VMR9 and EVR. Both did leave some components behind (as the same code base is used on the player level).

Odd thing is that quartz.dll (i.e. the renderer & graph itself) was cleaned properly as nore than 21 video files could be played with same MP instance. So, only the filters were left in memory.
