Are you using the TV Server with a local MP Client or streaming to VLC? I have HD with AC3 on mp client if I use the Cyberlink PowerDVD7 decoder rather than the MPV decoder.

I'm having problems with HD Audio from TV server with Australian DVB-T as well. Could it be something to do with AC3???

i was thinking it was AC3 as well since i can think thats probably the main difference in the stations. The odd thing was one time i did get audio on the station but then i lost audio on the SD stations. So perhaps it is a codec thing and i should play around more with it.

I found that if the first channel I go to is HD then audio for all HD channels will work but for all SD channels audio will not work - and visa versa - i.e. if the first channel I watch is SD then all SDs work but audio on all HDs doesn't work. If I turn TV off and on it seems to reset... weird!

Regarding the different networks & programs in AU, some SD programs are supplied with mpeg and ac3 audio channels, some just supply a single mpeg audio channel. For HD they just supply an ac3 audio channel. Since the TVserver re-stripes the transport streams using the existing sub streams you can get a mix between mpeg, mpeg/ac3 and ac3 only streamed. If the TVserver switches between SD only channels then you will get a consistant mpeg audio stream and hence the client plugin should not have problems playing the audio. When the TVserver switches between an SD and a HD channel then the same stream pid value is used by the TVserver so the player still expects to see the same audio stream type, hence you get no audio. Hope this helps to explain what your getting.

It's getting weirder..... If I remove all the IP cards in the TVServer setup and then add them back I can scan the M3u and tune the stations but if I rescan it on the same card it just keeps updating the 1 channel. My brain is melting.........

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page. Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases. -- from...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

Ok, thanks much. I will look into the instructions above. For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my own logos. Works, so far.
